Connect ChatGPT to TubExperto
ChatGPT stops making up what your YouTube channels said: it answers with what was actually said, and shows you the video and the timestamp.
MCP connector URL
https://mcp.tubexperto.comYou need a TubExperto account. The free one is enough: no card required.
ChatGPT uses the same sign-in as Claude: when you create the connector TubExperto opens, you log in with your account and authorize. No token to copy.
The free plan already includes the MCP connector, with 1 active session and 7 questions per week. You can try the whole thing without paying.
The shortcut: ask your AI
If you cannot find the menu, or you are on your phone, paste this message into your assistant: it reads this page and dictates the exact steps for your client.
https://mcp.tubexperto.com Install this as an MCP connector and tell me the exact steps for my AI client.Three steps and you are done
Heads up: this can only be set up in a browser, at chatgpt.com. ChatGPT’s iPhone, Android and desktop apps have no screen for adding MCP servers, so do not look for it there. Set it up once in the browser and you can then use it from your phone.
- 1
Open chatgpt.com in a browser and go to "Plugins" (formerly "Apps & Connectors").
- 2
Click "+" and then "Add custom MCP server". Name it TubExperto and paste the connector URL.
- 3
Pick OAuth authentication, accept ChatGPT’s warning, log in with your TubExperto account and click "Authorize". To check it worked, ask "What experts do I have on TubExperto?".
Try it with these prompts

What it takes, no small print
On the TubExperto side
A free account. The MCP connector is included in every plan, the free one included.
On the client side
OpenAI keeps custom MCP servers to some plans (Business, Enterprise and Edu, and Pro with limits) and they may depend on your workspace settings. If your plan does not allow it, Claude works on all of its plans, the free one included.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets an AI assistant query an external source. TubExperto Link is our MCP server: it gives your AI read access to the YouTube channels you indexed, quoting the video and the timestamp.
Prefer the long guide?
The full guide covers every client, how sign-in works, which tool belongs to which plan, and what to do when something breaks.
