Types of Cookies We Use
1. Essential Cookies (Necessary)
These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. Without them, some services cannot be provided.
Our own cookies:
- __Secure-next-auth.session-token: keeps you signed in. Up to 7 days (30 days in the mobile app)
- __Secure-next-auth.callback-url: remembers which page to return to after signing in. Until you close the browser
- __Host-next-auth.csrf-token: protects the sign-in forms. Until you close the browser
- __Secure-next-auth.state and __Secure-next-auth.pkce.code_verifier: protect sign-in through an external provider. Up to 15 minutes
- cl_consent: stores your choice in the cookie banner. 180 days
- tx_conn_oauth: protects the connection to Notion or MemoryFirst while you authorize it. 10 minutes
- tx_creator and admin_view: internal TubExperto accounts only. 30 days and 1 year

3. Analytics Cookies
We use Plausible, an analytics tool self-hosted on our own servers. Plausible sets no cookie on your browser and collects no personally identifiable data: it counts visits in aggregate and anonymously. It only loads if you accept the "Analytics" category in the cookie banner; if you reject it or have not decided yet, it does not load.

Purpose: aggregate usage statistics, service improvement
Provider: Plausible (self-hosted by TubExperto)
We do not use Google Analytics or any other cookie-based analytics tool.
Our own measurement cookies: they are only created if you accept the Analytics category. tx_aid is an anonymous identifier created if you play a video without being signed in, to count plays (1 year). te_signup_origin is created when you press the demo's sign-up button and remembers that the sign-up came from there (7 days). Both are deleted when you withdraw your consent from "Cookie preferences".
Help chat (AgenteUno): the chat is provided by AgenteUno, a product of Codelabs Studio, S.L. (Málaga). Only if you accept the "Analytics" category does it record chat usage events (shown, opened, closed) and store the au_sid_* and au_imp_* keys (session identifier) in your browser's session storage. Without your acceptance no event is sent and none of those keys is stored.
4. Marketing Cookies (consent-based only)
We use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure whether the ads we run on Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, or the Google Display Network lead to sign-ups and purchases on TubExperto. These scripts NEVER load by default: they only activate if you choose "Accept all" or check "Marketing" in the cookie banner, and only in our production environment.

- _fbp: identifies your browser to match a visit with a conversion
- _fbc: stores the click identifier if you arrived from a Meta ad

What it sends: page views, completed registration, creation of your first expert, checkout started, and confirmed purchase (with the real amount and currency from Stripe)
International transfers: Meta may transfer this data outside the EU under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework

Google Ads (Search and Display)
- _gcl_au: matches a click on a Google ad with a later conversion
Duration: 90 days
Controller: Google Ireland Ltd.
What it sends: completed registration, creation of your first expert, and confirmed purchase, whenever those conversion actions are configured

cl_attr (our own attribution cookie)
- cl_attr: records which ad, campaign or link you arrived from (the URL's UTM parameters, the Meta or Google click identifier and the referring site), so a sign-up or a purchase can be attributed to the right campaign
Duration: 90 days
Who sets it: TubExperto. It is a first-party cookie, not a third party's: it is written from our own domain and its contents never leave our servers.
When it is set: only if you accept marketing cookies. If you decline them, or dismiss the banner without accepting, it is not written.
What it stores: source, medium, campaign, content and term of your first and last visit, the ad click identifier, the landing page, the referring site and a visit count. Nothing that identifies you directly.
partner_ref (our own partner programme cookie)
- partner_ref: stores the code of the partner whose affiliate link (?ref=) brought you to TubExperto, so your sign-up or purchase can be attributed to them and their commission calculated
- ref_code: stores the code of the person who invited you with their referral link (/ref/CODE), so their invitation credits can be granted when you sign up
Category: marketing (affiliate programme attribution)
Duration: partner_ref 90 days, ref_code 30 days
Who sets it: TubExperto. They are first-party cookies, not a third party's.
When they are set: only if you accept marketing cookies. If you decline them, or dismiss the banner without accepting, no cookie is written: the code travels in the page address while you browse and, if you sign up or buy, it is used at that moment to attribute the operation to the partner or to whoever invited you.
What they store: only the partner or inviter code. Nothing that identifies you directly.
5. Third-Party Cookies (functional)
Set by external services required for specific platform features.
Third-party services:
- YouTube: when you play an embedded video on a chapter page, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies
- Help chat (AgenteUno): when you open the chat and write, the conversation session (
au_sid_*, session storage, until the tab is closed) is stored in your browser so it stays open while you browse. It is a feature you asked for by opening it; if you do not open it, nothing is stored for this reason - Stripe: at checkout we redirect you to Stripe's hosted payment page; cookies on that page are managed by Stripe, not by us
These cookies are subject to the privacy policies of their respective providers. This site's typefaces are served from our own servers (not from Google Fonts), so they generate no cookie or third-party request.
