What is happening at Meta?
The PrimeTime
Summary
Meta is undergoing a chaotic transformation as it pivots from VR to AI, leading to widespread employee dissatisfaction and technical instability. By forcing high-level engineers into an 'Applied AI' unit to generate menial training data, the company has created a morale crisis that some employees compare to a 'gulag.' Despite generating record ad revenue, Meta's internal culture is failing, marked by unrealistic management mandates, massive team-to-manager ratios, and a decrease in product quality, casting doubt on its long-term talent retention and stability.
