How I Work: $22K/Month Solopreneur
Starter Story
Summary
Rob Hallam, a solopreneur earning $22,000 monthly, shares his unique approach to work-life balance while traveling the world. He's a night owl who prefers to wake up late, complete personal tasks early, and then dedicate his nights to focused work to achieve a flow state. He highlights how travel, initially challenging for focus, taught him the value of settling in places for 2-3 months to get deep work done, balancing routine with exploration. Rob prioritizes tasks that truly advance his business, even if they're mundane, and compares entrepreneurship to surfing, emphasizing the initial difficulty but eventual reward of learning to navigate challenges. Crucially, he protects his 9 hours of sleep and lives by the motto that productivity stems from happiness, not strict discipline, encouraging others to find environments where they thrive creatively.
