How Do You Start Over After Wasting Years?

Jordan B Peterson

Resumen

This lecture explores the profound meaning of faith, defining it not as static belief, but as an active, conscious, and upward-aiming commitment to truth and responsibility. Drawing on biblical stories like Elijah, Jonah, Cain and Abel, and Christ, the speaker argues that true faith involves humility, admitting ignorance, actively seeking insights, and aligning one's intentions towards the highest good. He emphasizes that our thoughts are shaped by our aims, and refusing to speak truth or make necessary sacrifices leads to personal and societal decline. Ultimately, faith is presented as the willingness to embark on a challenging journey of self-sacrifice and integrity, guided by one's conscience and an unwavering pursuit of good, despite inherent flaws and suffering.
